To Be A Product Manager | Week 62
This journal helps me improve 1% every day…

Welcome to Week 62 of
To Be A Product Manager
In the past month, I only have 2 main focus: maximizing my personal development, and looking for better opportunities. This week, things seem to get going a little bit.
On the one hand, I try to hold higher standards on all the content I put out, actively involved in the development process, plus I also write project review and share with the team.
On the other, looking for better opportunities among those Shenzhen based tech companies, Tencent, Meitu, DJI and OnePlus. Now I think I have an answer of where I’ll be next. When I talked this with my product lead and HR, it turns out this is also their concerns as well, but so far they haven’t worked out a solution to handle this problem.
When I was searching for opportunities early this year, I want to find a better bigger platform for more challenges and my own personal growth, while learning to work with more people and different departments, improving my career emotion intelligence.
But what I’ve done in the past 2 months, I don’t think it’s product management related or has an impact on my product skills. Hiring some interns or guys who has a marketing or branding background would be a better choice.
I still have some time left at Bytedance to handle the rest of the stuff, but will be joining the new journey new company, again, later this month.
Next week, I will be having a week long training at a paraglide camp in Hangzhou. The training camp charged ¥10,000 per person, but I’m lucky to join them for free. For resource exchange, I will help them shoot some short videos for promotions and vlogs on my wechat account.
It’s gonna be fun! 😎
